  • Cannot catch a thing

    Going out this weekend and have not caught anythink since last year thinking of going to roker sat or sunday night any advice on where and when to fish on the peir and what bait would be greatly appreciated. this is my first thread and i visit this site nearly every night when the wifes not about

                wellcome to the site m8, it depends what ya fishing for m8, if ya just sratching, lug or rag tipped with either macky or squid will get ya whities and flaties, if its codling your after just ya usual big bait ups, crab was the bait to have yestaday but its just getting your hands on it, the best chance for a cod is in a big swell with any kind of easterly in it, you can catch cod any where along the pier but the hotspots are the roundhead and the barrier, you will find the barrier about 30yards before the first set of stairs on the seaward side, mind this is very snagy so i would reccomend rotton bottoms

                  gotta agree with Mick there mate,but i prefer to fish the barrier where its rocky and kelpy
