Can anyone give me directions to this mark, and can it be fished on a big sea? Also, does it still throw up fish when its flat?

from my experience the sea is never too big for this mark, as long as you can cast you can fish.

its dangerous though as erosion is bad there now, also if you get a decent fish its almost impossible to get it up anyway. I would give it a miss now.

howvever at the north end of the cliffs theres a few large private bunglaows surrounded by a big fence. go to the south end of the fence and follow it towards the sea, walk down a grass bang and theres a canny rock platform for fishing over high tide. maybe not quite as productive as the cliff tops but a hell of a lot easier to get a good fish in.

the cliffs can fish both high and low water with a good north or north east sea, there 3 main marks at low water which you get to from the north end where the new outflow pipe as been put in, first is quarry hole that can be fished 3 hours before low water casting into the quarry hole itself to the right on a good north sea or even a south easterly at this mark. then as the tide drops you have bull rock and coffin rocks which are better on north seas, as a rule if it does not fish on the drop it usually dont fish on the flood, although bull rock has been known to fish well on the first of the flood. as for fishing when flat no,but at the bottom of sandy bay caravan park the is caravan rocks that do chuck out the odd fish when flat or you can try the beach for flatties hope this help a little

beach for flatties???? my best fish of 8.5lb came from that beach so its not just flatties.

when i was a kid my parents had a caravan there. I remember spending summer nights on that beach catching codling after codling between 1 and 2 lb sometimes over 20 in a session! those were the days!

had all sorts of that beach flounders, plaice, turbot, dover sole, cod, coleys, whiting, bass, mackerel and even a sea trout of about 5lb one day. not fised it for ages though
