Cullernose has gone down hill over the years with only sporadic fish coming form there now. Most of our club fished the Howick area last night from the Island right up to Sub Hole and not a single fish was caught. In fact not a single fish came to the weigh in last night. Only one fish caught last week. Think the cod have either gone on their hols or have been taken by all the boats that have been prevalent up our way over the past couple of weeks!
Good forecast for the weekend tho so hopefully them boats will be tied up and we can get what ever stragglers they've missed.

Aye Tony.....All the lads mentioned them at the weigh in, and must admit, the horizon was well lit up with them!

Jamcod. I've never actually fished the island at Craster as I personally deem it too much of a risk to take fishing off it.
You can only access it on a big tide, and although I haven't seen anyone fish it, have heard that you still have to wade out to it just before low water to get some time on there. Would think you'd have to constantly watch your back.
