Hi All,
Well thought I would eventually register after reading your site for the past 3 months, thought it would be nice to contribute where I can.
not got much to say at the moment other than my catch reports over the past week which I have added below:
Last monday : Roker Peir (night) Me and my friend fished and caught 2 4lb cod and 2 2lb, with runny and squid tip (this was down to the fresh bait shortage over the past few weeks and done us proud).
Last Thursday : Roker Peir the sea was away at about 17:30 and we managed to get 2x 7lb cod, 1x 3.5LB cod, 2 2.5lb cod all in the space of 2.5 hours and with fresh lug, Runny, and squid. I gutted the two 7lb'ers and found that they were full of peeler crab, 9 crab in one of them and 7 in the other, seems to be the bait of choice for them at the moment.
Sat Morning: fished the Ratty, had fresh Lug, caught a Size whitting, one undersize Flatty, one (I think) Bull Rout or Wreck Fish (not sure which maybe someone can tell me the name of the horrible brown ugly thing), all returned though.
not been a bad two weeks but put the hours in to get them, also blanked in easington open.
Hope to be able to add more on Wednesday after the sea comes away tonight, i'll be out tomorrow.
