That is the budget for the marine fisheries agency to enforce the 6 mile to 200 mile area.

The sea fishery committee enforce the inner bit...the budget this year had to be increased because they lost an oar overboard and found they could not buy them singly and were therefore forced to buy two

Breakdown of the costs are as follows.
Meeting to discuss replacing an oar.........................................£1172. 00
Cost for preparing a tender doc for the replacement of an oar......£ 162.50
Cost of feasability study as similar oars could not be sourced.......£3727.61
Cost for retraining operators on new equipment.....................£123,010.00 (see note 1)
Consultant cost of risk assesment on new equipment.................£8,002.00
Cost of new oars (Matched Pair)............................................£ 37.50 (see note 2)

    Total £136,111.61

Note 1. The retraining cost were higher than expected as the only suitable training venue that could be found was on Grand Bahama and it was also felt it would be benificial if all members of the committee as well as the crew attended the 3 week coarse to act as standby in the event of crew shortages.

Note 2. The equipment is functioning well however plans to upgrade the patrol boat propulsion to an outboard motor have had to be shelved for the forseeable future due to lack of funds.
