Been looking through catch reports for last year. First kelpy report I found was from Craster 23/6/13. Granted I was flicking through and only checking posts with photos attached so would have missed any with a photo embedded in the post itself.

This is my first full summer fishing and I was just after some info as to whether this is the usual time they start to turn up or has anyone had one/ know of people catching them earlier? My thinking was with the crabs starting there should be a few about soon

Mid may onwards should the fishing should start to pick up providing the weather stays settled and we don't get any seas coming away
