Best think to do mate is put some time in, find a sand beach take 2 beachcasters vary your distance, vary your baits from crab and ragworm, then take a rod up and work some lures it's a long task but then you find your own mark and get the fish your after it's a brilliant feeling. P.s water is a little dirty still for bass but worth a try. Also fish the same mark over different stages if the tide and on different tide sizes you will be surprised what difference there is. Good luck mate

Not something people tend to disclose on open forums and for good reason. As with most marks these days, if a good catch report is posted, the place will be heaving with people chasing reports. There are bass present at loads of marks along the whole stretch of the north east coast. Putting in some hours will see you onto some fish. General bass tactics apply. Places to consider are headlands, shallow rocky areas with good weed cover and surf beaches. The internet is a useful tool for learning the tactics to apply, discovering marks comes with a great sense of achievement.

I might be wrong, but reckon that if there was such a thing as a really good bass mark in the area you mention, we'd all know about it one way or another. Nowhere is consistently better than anywhere else, really. Bass are fairly thin on the ground, but KarlM is right - get to know the right tactics and the areas where Bass (might) feed and then be patient. I've caught an occasional Bass from a few different sandy beaches in mid Northumberland but, if you hit upon a few, don't publicise it too much!PBs...Cod 8lb2oz.. Turbot 3lb2oz.. Whiting 1lb8oz.. Coalie 1lb9oz.. Flounder 1lb7oz.. Dab 15oz.. Plaice 13oz.. Bass 1lb 6oz

As mentioned put some time in... Almost all sandy beaches will kick out an odd fish or two. If you put in the hours with the right tactics and your in with a good shout"In order to becomes old and wise, first you must be young and stupid."
