    i just used 50lb line mate it does the job and its cheep as chips! will show you the knots i use next time were out!

      just a thought, But, how much difference do you all think a knot makes to a cast 5 - 10 - def not 30 yards

        please think of the person to your right because thats who you are going to hit if you snap off , rule of thumb 10lb bs for every oz you chuck.

          From my experiences a correctly tied tapered leader knot (say 50 lb-> 15 lb) is stronger than a tapered leader with a conventional knot.
