  • Druridge bay

    Hi guys,

I have fished Druridge a few times but usually the Cresswell end and up to where the blocks are on the beach and was wondering if there are any other marks well known up and down the beach people regularly fish.

Always had a few fish out but as it's such a lovely beach I would like to fish it a bit more over summer but thought I'd ask if there was anywhere else worth trying,

    Cheers Marc

probably the best known mark is the plantation. Drive through cresswell and follow the road along as far as you can before turning away from the sea.

I ment the beach mate just the cresswell end. Don't fish the carrs at all, plenty better marks about! Plantation... So where the road bends away from the sea straight down onto the beach!?

Here's a tip Marc. If you see me up there keep well clear of that area, you'll catch nowt!

Go along the road from cresswell to widdrington and after about half a mile there is a lake/ nature reserve on the left and just opposite a little car park . I normally just park there and walk over the dunes and fish there , caught all different types of flatties and the odd bass

Where the main road bends away, there is a single track road that goes straight on. Anywhere along here but I prefer opposite the lake. Google earth should show u where I mean.

I'm guessing that's lady bay lake... Pretty much ban in the middle.... Sounds to me like the whole beach will fish in the right circumstances. Saw and caught quite a few good fish off the beach last summer including any amount of flatties! Would like to ba a turbot this summer though for the bucket list...
