    Anyone think these would work

    I've heard stories of them doing the business in the estuaries...but what about from the shoreline

    Nope,they turn to mush cause of the salt water,i have heard of people catching flatties on them further up rivers

        Tried them when I was a kid, caught little puddlers on them in the harbour, as Vamp says I've had little flatties chase them in s/sluice harbour back in the early 80's - but then they were chasing owt you put on the hook that summer!

          My mate's caught a flattie on them near Durham when float fishing for trout!!!

          Might work on a float for mackerel as they seem to hit anything that moves and a lad I know caught a coalie on a ham sandwich so who knows? Can't imagine cod going for them though as they seem just a little bit more fussy lol

            caught flatties on them in the river trent in North Lincs when I was a kid, thats if the Eels didn't get to them first

              HeHe. i saw a coalie caught on a piece of bubblegum...

              A mate of mine Caught a small flattie while fly fishing for trout in plessy woods.

              Not sure weather eath worms would work in the sea tho.
              It's a thin line that seperates an Angler from a madman standing on the beach in january at midnight in -5 degrees with a northerly wind blowing in your face

                I can beat that.... whiting on a bit of donner kebab meat out of a hotel window, leith docks edinburgh!
