Are there any members in the Darlington/South Durham area interested in letting a rookie tag along at some point.

Always good to meet new people, unfortunalty what i find is nobody comes to seaham much hehe or they come to seaham, without us locas knowing about it.

I did manage to meet jonesy inadvertantly a month or 2 back on the south pier.

          Barney,

I was going to ask the same question. I live in Aycliffe, have a boat based on the Tyne but have never winter fished in the NE from the shore.

Recent catch reports have convinced me that I really ought to give it a go. I have been out to see shore anglers and watch but htese have been far up north which is not ideal for short notice trips, and I do mean short notice

If anyone fancies showing a novice shore angler the ropes...and lending him a bit of gear till he is convinced its worth investing in. In return you would have an enthusiactic apprentice who is available for the next month or so at short notice, half an hour plus travel time on occasions.

I've never caught a bass and have set it as a personal target for 2008. Can anyone out there help me fulfill that aim, and I dont mind travelling to do it.

I have spent a lot of time helping others catching personal boat bests and had a few myself as a direct result ( i believe my boat features in dec sea angler shimano mission but I hav'nt seen it), but it has now become a time where I would like to find out why shore fishing is so addictive.

          Cheers
          Dave

I got a small tommy that day jonesy around half a lb, i would of fished the pier, but i couldnt be bothered chasing my bags around the pier again due to the wind, so i took the easy option hehe.

Well i only get a friday and saturday off work, so i wouldnt be able to fish......

anyone looking to go out on the 2 above mentioned days, give me a buzz, id be happy with a partner whether novice or pr0 , im not fussed.

There's a group of a good few of us go out every weekend (mainly fridays but Saturday this week). We fish anywhere from Hartlepool to Craster. 2 of the lads live in Bishop and I'm sure would be more than happy to guide you to us and we'd be more than happy to have you fish with us. Good craic with quite a bit experience amongst some of us so you might actually learn something aswel lol. Just pm me if you want to pop along bud
