I've just picked up a MTI Bass.. It's just under 12' rated 3-4 but I chucked a 2 and a 5 oz yesterday effortlessly.. Has a plain but like a beachcaster so you can use coasters or reelseat wherever you like.. It's a really nice bit of kit!

It was second hand mate.. I 'think' they sell online for around 140 but I heard they've stopped making them now so might be hard to get hold of..

Can't comment on that but if the SG twin tip uptider that I had a good wiggle of in NETS is anything to go by then it should be a nice rod!

                  Phil

The Greys Platinum Bass and AnyFish Anywhere Surf get rave reviews as well
a very cheap option but well rated is also the shakepear salt flattie.

both can be picked up new for less than £150
                  - the shaky for £60

Give the greys factory a bell direct, often has unsold stock going cheap cheap..
                  My Weapons of Choice
