I don't finish work till 23:00 so it could be tricky for me getting home.

Good luck for this afternoon Jim.

      Conditions

Just been listening to Metro radio and police are advising people not to travel if they can avoid it. They are describing conditions as treacherous, don't suppose my boss will understand this though if I ring in to say I'm stuck.

Everyone please take care if you have to travel

tis a little chilly down here today, I must send the servants out for some more mulled wine and oak logs for the fire. No snow in London yet.

According to AA roadwatch the A1 is still moving even if it is just 20mph southerly towards Whickham from Gosforth. Northbound seems ok, I will let you know what it is like when I get home Craig.

Consett was on the local news but wasn't too bad compared to previous years, problem is, we havn't had really bad weather here now for a lot of years so people do not know how to drive in it any more.

Just been out and the main roads are not bad, just wet.
But the temp is dropping quickly.
Prob is everyone now is driving as though it is ice, even though it is just wet so traffic is very slow.

Got a text message off insanojackson saying he's made it to Blyth pier ok and the sea is massive. He sufferes from cold fingers so I hope he doesn't try to text just after he has unhooked a biggun, rebaited and cast back in, I have visions of his icy cold hands not reacting properly to the messages sent from his brain and the mobile phone taking two or three bounces on the pier before finding a lovely gap in the woods.

I bet it's not the first time!

Ian you have a lovely motor for pulling the birds but its about as much use as a choccy fireguard this weather.
Should treat yourself to an old mans piccasso like i,ve got. Stinks of wet dogs and old fishing gear.
Just got some new tyres on the front so its decent in the snow.
I would like a nice 4x4 but i bet there is not many about that do 47 to the gallon.
                        Hope the fishing ok.
                        Mick.
