Had some of them crabs a few weeks ago and they work. Got dabs on them in the Tyne. Haven\'t been out to use them now there\'s some fish about as just become a dad again, a boy this time 9lb 4oz. Hoping to fish the CIU Open on Sunday and would be happy for one that size for the second Sunday ina row. I\'m sure he\'ll understand when he\'s older why I went out for so long! Will be trying some of those crabs again.

I\'v used those crabs quite a bit and i\'v had some alrite cod on them of south shields pier. I get mine from billy\'s over north shields i think he sells them for £4 a pack of 4. They are really big and i think they will be a top bait for this winter.
                  Always got it!

Got some meself and tried em out last night.
IMO - if they are good bait now, why were they not before?
                      They are expensive.
They do not seem to be any where near as \"Juicy and Lush, oh yeah\" as peeled shore crab.
I had a nightmare about them when I got home to beddy byes, honest. weird creatures, even weirder when they\'re alive! One chased Tony Cutter from mark 44 to the end of the pier!

Ya ken though, Nettle soups edible!!

of course I caught nowt (1 rockling) but that\'s bye the bye

Thanks for the messages lads, didn\'t fish today as little one a bit poorly but spoke to one of our lads from the club who used those crabs and got 4 fish for 5lb odd in the CIU and came third so he thinks they do alright. said he had plenty bites on them so I think they must be ok. as for them being new , reading Sea Angler they say they were for the restaurant trade so i think it\'s just someone catching onto them as bait and finding the market. I know that Billy Brown said the price had went up from the initial orders he had taken.
