  • Low life scum...

I've just been speaking to Norma from Amble Angling, and to say she's upset and annoyed is an understatement.

Sometime earlier this week, while she was distracted getting worms from the fridge, some piece of sh*t helped himself to an Akios 656 shuttle from her reel cabinet.

If anybody is offered this type of reel, brand new but without a box, for a silly price, or if you hear of someone offering a shuttle ridiculously cheap, let Norma know.

Because she has had relatively few customers this week, the culprit looks like being one of a pair of lads who were in the shop together. One bought bait, the other was "checking out" some boat rigs (kept beside the reel cabinet).
Unfortunately, when the bait fridge door is opened it obscures that part of the shop.

Any help will be very gratefully received.

      Lets hope it turns up.
We had a visit from the police at work on Wednesday asking a few questions. Some stolen fishing gear was being sold round amble by an Amble lad who used to work at ours.

I don't know what the gear was but Its a small town and a strong coincidence.

I'm not willing to name names on here but happy to speak to the relevant people if needed.
I'd like to think others would do the same for me if my gear was nicked.

Total nanny goats, hasn't she got cctv in the shop, saying that if they wan't it they'll take it.
Shouldn't have to but the reels would be better in a locked cabinet.
Hope she gets the reel bk n the lowlife who stole it.

I hope it's all fed back to the police so at least these idiots get locked away for a few hours in some pi$$y cell.... Likelihood of getting the reel back is slim... Likelihood of the thief getting a hiding... Quite high!! Absolutely disgusting

They retail for like £200 aswell... That will be a huge hit for a small angling shop like amble . Sad to hear the news

What a bloody bummer for Norma. She and Tony are top notch and I was in the shop myself earlier this week. It had been a bit quiet lately and Norma had had the shutters down for a couple of weeks. She opens up again and this happens. If I hear of anyone trying to flog the reel locally, I will certainly inform the Police.

There will always be people like this...

If she does her own books and needs any help writing off the debts assuming it doesnt turn up via police or other sources tell her id be happy to instruct her on how to go about getting tax (and vat if applicable) relief on the stolen goods, ease the loss a little.

these *******s make me sick stealing from a small shop like that its a big blow.
I would hope the local lads find out any info on them then go and give them a good kicking, and possible get the reel back.
used to go and get my bait from there years back when booked on the war lord charter boat always found the people in the shop to be spot on.

That's a very generous offer Liam. I'll pass it on to Norma.
