  • Shakespeare range

Need some help and opinions on Shakespeare spinning rods please.

Is the Agility range the replacement range for the salt? Are they as good as the salt? I am thinking Agility Sea Spin 10ft vs Salt 10ft spinner

Also where do these Ugly Stik rods sit in the Shakespeare range, are these rods any good? Been looking at the big water

You set out to buy a new rod these days and it is like a mine field! Looking for a sub £100 spinner if anyone has other suggestions. Cheers

Savage gear bushwacker rod mate. Look about and you will find them for £50-60. Cracking rod. A lot of the lure lads on here rate them and use them for spinners through to plugging for bass. Think the one hats gets bought most often is the 10-40g version. Better reviews by the lure lads than the shakeys by those that use em!

My lure rod is 9ft and I have a 3000 sized reel mate... It balances well but I'm sure a 4000 would be ok on a 10ft rod. See if you can try it out for balance before you buy. I'm sure different reels will work better on certain rods but your defo in the right ballpark size wise

Nothing wrong with them mate but I think they fall foul of being slightly more than a budget rod and the lads looking for something other than budget tend to spend a bit more on something a bit higher spec. They are kinda between those sort of price ranges hence they suffer a bit.
