Just bought a Blue Max baitcaster reel and Baitcaster rod outfit. Looks ok for using off rocks. Going to try when weather picksup. I also take another spinning outfit with fixed spool.

Get a small abu with a left hand wind , easier to cast then engage , I've got a couple I use for pike but you can't use any light lures with them , best with 1 or 2oz , try the 5601 ( I think ) with the thumb release , great reel with braid , good luck mate and tight lines .I am a fisherman !
