Fished Druridge bay last night, (1 small flounder) with my mate Les.
About 5 o'clock, 3 lads from Lynemouth / Ashington area came down and set up close by.
I had a bit of craic with them, then went back to my rod. Les then had a craic with them, and soon after came over to where I was.
"Have a look at what one of those lads has on his feet" says Les
So I went back.
Last night it was so cold that the sand was as hard as concrete, the air temperature was wicked, and Christ only knows what the water temperature was.
Two of the 3 lads were wearing sensible thick waterproof boots, the third was in the water wearing a pair of white trainers !
Unless he has wooden feet, he is either extremely tough, or he hides his pain very well.
