I am wanting a pair of boots for Rock Fishing that will have decent grip on slippery rocks, but also suitable for walking in to the fishing marks - I am looking at:
Leeda Wychwood Lunker Boots, The Skeetex Super Boots & the Ron Thompson Pro Logic Rock Boots at the moment, as they are the only ones that they advertise in the mags.
Any other recommended ? And links to them would be useful too
Price isn\'t a problem, but if they are under £100 that would suit me better. lol - more money for the pub then!

go to say that I ahve tried a few over the years and still go back to me old faithfulls - a pair of ex-army german para boots.

you can walsk all day in em, they are warm, grippy and have to be totally submerged for more than a good few seconds before they let water in. had mine now for nearly ten years and they are still going strong.

tried italian para boots as well, but they have a tendancy to run backwards when frightened

    Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

      Hello Kenny.
Try WWW.SHOCKTROOP.COM on the web mate. I have bought gear off them in the past and the service is first class with decent prices.

I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again...avoid the Pro Logic boots! The Skeetex Super Boot look the best bet.

Incidently, Snowbee have the last of their Spike Sole Wading boots (which won\'t be available again) available for £29.50 per pair RRP £59!

These are great on rocks and anything slippery.

I wear two kinds of boots when fishing.army boots, tough durable, comfortable and easily waterproofed and looked after.I used to have a pair of Caterpillar boots I got for work and found they were very good as well. After 5 years of wok and fishing(almost continous wear)they sadly went in the bin a couple of months ago.

              Cheers lads.
Mike, at that price I would be mad not to order the snowbee\'s - so I have done
Forgot that you had advised against the Pro-logic\'s
