Going to put winter rods away after this weekend could do with light rods to target plaice , flounders , dabs and even rays now any ideas something that won't brake the bank balance which is nearly zero due to wedding funds draining it lol

For £250 ish the new Shimano Aspire 130 AX Surf is the best light rod ive tried and owned.
For £100 - 150 you will pick up a nice second hand flattie fantanic or Tip Tornado Ultra light or greys platnum bass
For £50 the shakespear salt rods have a loyal following.... or the Sonic SK3 bass are availible for that prioce or less second hand.My Weapons of Choice
RODS:
Shimano Aspire 130 AX Surf , Shimano Aspire 140 AX Surf, Reelsport Responce ,Team Daiwa TDXS 130XM for the rough, Shakespear Ugly Stick Gold 7ft Spinning
REELS:
Shimano Speedmaster CFS IV x3 , Abu 7500 C3CT Blue x 2, Abu 7500 CT Elite, Penn 970 mono mag for the rough, Shimano 4000 Exage for Spinning

I have been looking for similar mate.
People might shoot me down for this but i have been leaning towards a heavy spinning rod so I can use it as an all rounder, bit of light bait/ spinning/ lure. Plaice, flounder, dabs etc. dont need a big cast as we all know. The lighter the rod the better the sport. Have been looking at the Greys Sea Spin 11ft around £95 and getting either a 2500 or 4000 size fixed spool

Mick I have a Shakespeare endeavour 9ft with a 2nd hand Shimano 500 baitrunner. Cost me less than £60 for the pair. Great combo, fishing is fantastic fun on light gear and won't break the bank.2016 - Cod, Dab, Dogfish, Gurnard, Ling, Mackerel, Saithe, Scorpian fish. .
