    Steetly car parking

In all honesty mate you will be fine parking there at the top of Cemetary Lane through the day and if there are other cars there. As long as you leave no gear or anything worth nicking in the car and remove your parcel shelf so they can see theres nothing there you will be fine. An alternative is to park near the bus stop along near where the old Brus Arms used to be and walk up through the Brus tunnel. Alternatively park near the houses outside the childrens centre and walk up the path onto Cemetary Lane although this is a good walk. Some folk like to park on the front at Parton and then walk along the beach but that is a very long walk although probably the safest option. Please DO NOT park on the pier like some IDIOTS did, apart from blocking the pier it is also unsafe and damaging the pier structure. Its your call mate, certainly dont leave it if it is the only car up the top in the darkness, although there are some cameras near there now which puts some 'tea leaves' off targeting the motors there. Just whatever you do don't leave anything on show as the two recent break ins have been for a couple of rods and for a car sat nav. Hopefully this helps you out mate.
    All the best

                  Steetly marks

If you look at Insanojackos report you will see the picture is taken from the end of the pier. Fish either the bell corner (top left) or the concrete (top right) and you wont go far wrong. Should get plenty of dab and whiting during the day but there is tyhe odd chance of a codling so may be worth fishing two rods with one for the cod.

I used to go on this pier when the old factory was open. Used to sneak through on me trials bike with me mate. Drop the lines down off the balconies on the pier because you could not get on the end concrete bit and we hammered the fish. Honest i had so many one day i could not carry them on the back of me trials bike. Security used to come along and hoy you off after a while. This will have been over 30 years ago. Funny thing is they allowed coppers on.Those days i was an apprentice bricklayer.
Anyway Micky you could leave your motor at the top of cemetry road. You cannot miss this road you drive into the Headland and turn left just head for the big chimney pipe.
Folk leave the motors and generally there is no probs. Personally i have done it a few times but recently i came across a motor screwed. Back window out and contents ripped out. Its a bit like taking candy from a baby leaving the motor there. The place has smackheads and i personally never leave it now.
                    The alternatives are -
1,leave your motor on the sea front near the twin steps on the headland and walk across the tops.VERY SAFE Approx distance 2 miles, done this and its ok.
2, Leave your motor next to Gus Robinsons and cut through to cemetry road. Did this with Insano and Beachlover recently and ok.STILL CONCERNED.
3, Park you motor in West View and walk under the Brus tunnel and onto Steetly this way. I will probably try this route next. Spotted some police houses where i can park me motor outside.
Finally its easier for me cos i,m from the Pool and i know the place like the back of my hand. In fact if my ex-wife was still in her old home at West View i could have parked me car outside hers. There and again she would probably torch it. Give me a pm and i,ll let you know when i,m down next.
                    Mick.
Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.
