    Thinking of fishing the river tyne tomorrow first time out since new year, any one know how it's fishing

    Head to ns fish quay and fish 40yds to the right of the yellow mooring cast 100-110 yrds and you will hit the 1st of 2 sandbars I get sport here from now until the piggies are in ;-);-):-D

      should be coalies and small stuff down the fish quay but a big cast into the middle is needed to avoid the countless snags.
      been few codling to around 3lb further up the river which seems to be fishing better than the lower parts.

      best off finding a narrow part of the river on smaller tides and the wider parts on the big tides.
      Species 2012 - Cod, Flounder, Dab, Plaice, Pollock, Eelpout, Common eel, Granny Fish, Whiting, Coalie, LSD, Rockling, Bass.
