my favourite rig without doubt but as i said earlier takes a bit time for me to make one so it releases every time.

if you ever want to see one of these rigs i could arrange to meet.

no disrespect to dropper rig it does work well and easy quick to tie but sometimes not all the time a long hook length can outfish anything else.
      Cheers for the replys,

Johnr love to but its maybe just a tad far to drive to see a rig , i am in the scarborough area , but i would gladly buy a up nd over pulley rig of you ?
I do fish deep water marks Brigg/ Flamborough , but cant say i have seen these rigs, apart from using a dropper rig last weekend during the Euro open nd i noticed nearly every cast it came un clipped ?,
saying that it was a shop bought (lyxn rig but i was given it) the ones with the fancy crimping style,
Is there any diagrams on line showing the drop down pulley ?, also i dont normally like to much metal work when fishing rough ground, my normal rigs are mainly all loops with oval split ring attached to my leader and the hook thats it apart from the lead which has two hooks one to act as bait clip,
but i would like to try other rigs.

      All the best mark

        Hi mark,
The "pulley dropper"is designed to present a long flowing hooklength, ideal for rays n hounds/cod over clean ground/sand.NOT suitable 4 ruff ground fishing as the hook snood is hanging dwn below the lead(the full snood hangs below)resulting in your hook getting snagged up.Also used in sml tides to aid movement as with the up n over rig(a long snood will move /waft around more than a short 1)Hope the info helps
        Ps pleny of pic's online.
