Works great John my son and some of the lads on shields have been using it and getting results when the tide is strong you have got to pin the bait to the bottom there's a few variations but the wishbone is putting a lot of bait in the same area works good for small species but would stick to a pennel for cod just thought I share itLast edited by Joe-m; 10-03-2014, 06:43 PM.

Cracking vid buddy, been using a variation of the rig "pulley dropper"myself for a num of yrs,gr8 for ray/hound fishing where u want a long flowing snood to present your bait away from your sinker n to keep it hard to sea bed.Better imo than the up n over(dosen't kink your snood)also great for codding(no good in the ruff tho,the hook gets snagged up very easy).Found this rig to work very well in sml tides, gets movement into your hookbait.
Well done on the vid, will be very helpfull to ppl.

Mark in a tide pull it is an advantage to have a long trace especially for cod if you fishing at range you need to use a clip down rig the up and over is tied in a couple of variations a sliding ledger or conventional paternoster with a long hook length which is taken up the rig body over a clip such as a inverted quick link and back down to a hook clip or imp just above the weight when released it gives a long hook trace the disadvantage is it puts a kink in the hooks length and often becomes wrapped which you don't find out to you reel in hope this helpsLast edited by Joe-m; 11-03-2014, 10:09 AM.

this rig i can fish hook lengths 6ft long and even longer no prob at all kinking of hook length never had any probs wth.
my favourite rig without doubt but as i said earlier takes a bit time for me to make one so it releases every time.
if you ever want to see one of these rigs i could arrange to meet.
no disrespect to dropper rig it does work well and easy quick to tie but sometimes not all the time a long hook length can outfish anything else.did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?
