I have owned century's, conoflexes, zziplexes etc and would rate these as good, certainly for fishing. Certainly better value, only time will tell though on the reliaibility front, believe you me I hit my rods hard and have had no problems with the big beach which I own.
My favourite is the 14ft big beach, the match rod is a cracker too. Fished next to shane russel who uses one and rates it as the best!!!
Don't have any experience of the others though.
All the rods are decptively powerful, especially the big beach.

only once the smock got me wet was when the lower pocket filled up with water and that was because the rain was horizontal

very fragile the rings are cheap and smash on contact with the beach this is why the are so cheap i believe .
check its got decent rings i have replaced 3 rings allready cos the linnings have fallen out i also have the 16 ft with fuji rings and i have to say that this rod has had no problems and is of better build quality
as for the box packs i have seen 3 with dodgy stitching and ive only looked at 3
hope this helps
