im gonna fish there next weekend just need some advice on things i will need to take.

1.what type of rigs
2.what bait is best used to fish this mark
3.is it best fished at low or high water
4.does it fish better at night or through the day

im getting sick of blanking again so need help just want to know how other people are catching cracking fish and my biggest this winter is about 1lb lol

Only ever fished it once and that was today, I can give you two pieces of advice, the first is take loads of leads or the second is float fish!

I'm sure someone else on here will give you some sensible advice though.

1. Any type of rig you would use for the rocks will do. I use a Pennel Pulley.

2. Again, any type of bait you would normally use on the rocks. Crab, Lug, Rag, Mussel, Razor, Clam, Runnydown, or a cocktail of them. The choice is yours really.

3. Low water, unless you want to stay on the island for the full tide, either way it wouldn't really matter, apart from the fact you would have to wait for the tide to drop to get home.

4. Only fished there a couple of times during the day and they were not really the best conditions for catching fish so I couldn't comment on which would be the best.

Remember if you are fishing a new mark that you have never fished before, be careful. I find it always best to fish with a mate for safety if you don't know the mark.

ill be fishing with a mate i always do anyway as like you say saftey comes first over any fish im gonna try fishing it going out on friday see how i get on if i do well ill report back

i was there on friday night i fished it 2and a half hours b4 low water all the way out and back in for a bit i was on the scewer to the left of the walk way fishng back into the bay lost a fish but there was a few caught there were a load of people on fishing all up and down it!i would use rocky bottoms lol
