  • Sea conditions 24/11/07?????

Was wanting to give it a go tonight either Blyth beach or Hadston but has the sea dropped back too much? Just been looking at the longsands webcam but think it's not updated judging by the sky (guessing though).

Would appreciate it if someone who lives at the coast could let me know what the sea conditions are, if it's dropped back too much I may as well save myself the 70+ mile round trip.

At seaham it has flattened off a lot compared to yesterday, but even so i still think its definatly worth giving it a go as there is still a good tide running and the sea has been big the last few days, so hopefully there will be a few fish about.
Ill be heading out to the chems within the next hour for a daytime session.

The sea had dropped off last night. As it started coming back in it was massive on Whitley beach. Blyth beach had a canny swell on aswell. Think it will be worth a shot tonight.

I'm popping out in 5 so i'll have a look at Blyth beach for you.

Walked the dogs on Druridge Bay beach this morning, got there about 06:45 and the sea was pretty flat. Noticed someone fishing the bottom tide at Cresswell as we passed through (pitch black, spotted a lamp!), opposite the caravan park.

edit - ohh and it was bitter ice cold, wind was gusting along the length of the beach making for sore faces by the time we got back to the car, so wrap up warm! One of the daft animals wanted to play and I had an old coat on, ended up busting the zip so I froze :-/

              Thanks everyone

Still went fishing even though conditions weren't favourable, tried off Lyneburn caught one small bass, luckily it was only lightly hooked so it went back safely.

Thanks to everyone who let me know the conditions.
