fished it from about 6 til half 9ish, bait was runny down and squid, when i got there, i was told to fish the bend as thats where most of the fish were, and nothing much was getting caught on the end, but there was a canny few people on, so i was basicaly fishing just infront of the breakers... first cast got codling just under 2lb. 2nd cast got a cod just under 3lb, then that was it after that, but there was a few fish being caught..

Nice one mate, pleased you got a couple. Should be a few more decent ones over the next few days if the sea keeps up.

I think it will be a wee bit different this week codnot, it always produces some good fish when there is a really good blow mate.

I fished Blyth pier on sunday morning from 9am till 1.30pm was amazed to have the whole pier to myself until about 12 ish..considering the conditions were perfect for the west pier ( a loverly south easterly blow). I was using runnydown and frozen crab and only managed 3 undersized coalies from the end, (all returned) I had tried the third breaker, and the bend previously in the morning with nothing to show, I was convinced that the pier was going to fish well at two hours either side of low water, which is in my opinion always the piers best time, but had to leave to get ready for work,(damn continental shifts, four on four off,) but yee haaaa. am now off till friday so can fish these perfect conditions till my hearts content, will hopefully have something a bit more positive to report later in the week.
