just been in touch with me m8 who was down this morn, apparently they believe the man jumped at the 2nd steps, they seen him stagering along then he disapeared, next thing they hear cries for help and see a man drifting fastly past the roundhead, m8 hoyed the lifebelt at himbut missed him by inches and the man was unable to swim back against the current, sadly the man went under, m8s devaststed

Sounds like suicide if he jumped in.

been to see him 2nite, just a little shocked thats all, reckons the man didnt stand a chance in that sea, for the man who asked if its been fishing, he had about 5codling between 2 to 3lb and lost a good one on the lift

accident or not, just shows it can happen to anyone, shame really. Tides are strong in a lot of area's wether you can swim good or not.

Do they council actualy check the saftey of the piers? or are they just another tax burden thats left un-noticed.
