  • Fishing boats off the Tyne ????

Being quite a keen photographer am often down on the seafront just before sunrise. Almost every time I have been down for the last few weeks I have noticed about 20 or so fishing boats dotted around within a few miles of the mouth of the Tyne.

I was just wondering what fish they would be targeting - cod/whiting ? Or would they be after prawns ? Anyone know.

some of the boats will be crab and lobster prawn boats some do long line fishing leave out over night return next day to land there catch could be cod whiting or any other species that's takes the bait.
there are not as many boats fishing now due to the law and catch restrictions .
