  • School house hole craster

Was thinking of fishing up that way tomorrow daytime or night. Know roughly where it is but not too sure. Do I park up at Craster and walk South? Or would anyone recommend other marks tonight/tomorrow.

Have a look at Philitofish's page he has a link at the bottom of every post to a map of marks all around the coast.

It's south of the harbour. Drive into Craster, turn right then drive all the way along and park up - Schoolhouse point is just past where you park - anywhere along there; Schoolhouse, Black Holes to Cullernose has been worth a chuck lately.

Yes indeed - some stretches along Howick way fish a lot better during the day than at night! Best with a bit of a bump on and plenty of colour in the water.

Thanks lads, particularly Gary for the directions. Try low water with fresh blacks and mussel tonight I think.

Man, School House or Hole in the Dyke, (not sure which one was which in the dark) is a tackle graveyard. May as well have just tipped my gear off the skeer and saved myself 3 hours. Rotten bottoms didn't help either - still lost the lot every time.

May be I should have fished the flood instead of 2 hours either side of low.

Just as a heads up, the local council are looking at changing parking restrictions up here in the not too distant future so be careful where you park or it may be an expensive day out!
