    Hi newby here ,Was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem/ has any advice regarding the surfblaster 8000 i own? Out fishing tonight rare thing happened had a bite? lol Did usual things then during reeling in the reel "snapped" at the reel seat> Reel is about six months old never been dropped was on a top quality rod so at the moment not a happy bunny and to make matters worse miissed the bite didnt have a spare reel with me and had to come home Any help would be gratefully accepted thanks

    if its bought from a shop,shouldent have a problem getting it replaced.got same reel myself had it couple of years havent had any problems with it,great reels for casting.good luck.

      Thanks Reg met you few weeks ago was me that caught that 3lb on mussel and black on marsden beech had a 5lb down there a couple of weeks ago was nice talking to you

        its a small world arnt it.wellcome to site.had 3 out other night for about 9lb+few 8 10in ones.ps,so was your reel bought from a tackle shop.?

          Yeah bought from tackle shop . Was down there last night not a thing except a lump of weed that was bigger than our Christmas tree lol and still recovering from them stairs

            never heard of that buddy,good reels them penns,take it bk to where u bought it,sure there will be no probs in replacing it

              I have one and no probs. Would imagine Penn would swop.

                  jeez mick i always take a spare reel but i wouldnt carry a spare rod they get in the way,a good rod should last for years if looked after proper,lol atb plum

                      Phoned penn they told to take it back to shop for exchange, phoned shop they havnt any in stock so got to send back to penn for free repair happy with that.
