  • another 12hour sesh

    on tynemouth pier

    well lads me and carver are off for a 12 hour sesh from 6pm till 6am tomorro we got a fair bit of bait loads of diff types except peeler ill report back if we make it back lol

    baits going with us:
    1. black lug
    2. razor
    3. soft back crab
    4. mussel
    5. rag
    6. peeler crab man stuff off ebay lol
    7. super eels (big sand eels)

    if i dont catch nothing will all this bait people will see me floating like
    p.s if this happens DO NOT TRY AND SAVE ME lol

          use small hooks to begin with...you may just catch flatties and other small fish but at least you won't have blanked

              Unlucky mate but if you keep putting this much time and effort in you will get them big fish Lad caught 5 in half an hour just up the river from you

                a lad got a 3 1/2 lb cod about 3 feet away from us he also had a pouting and another cod about 1lb aint got aq clue what we were doing wrong but the fish were having none of our baits

                    long hours alright mate just gets to you after a while lol im gonna fish hartley some time through the week see if i can get anything this time need some one with expirience to come and tell me what im doing wrong lol

                          all kinds of traces mate from rotten bottoms, pulleys, one hook flappers, 2 hook flappers, hook sizes were 1/0 3/0 and 4/0 aint got a clue what im doing wrong but wallsendo u should just come out and show me what the problem is lol HELP NEEDED FAST

                            LOl...don't ask me mate - I know f*** all...I just use big words and pretend I know what I'm talking about

                            Sounds like you're doing the right things mate - I just wondered if you'd fallen into the trap of using HUGE hooks and HUGE baits (which do work given the right circumstances) when smaller hooks will still catch big fish, as well as other species in between

                              could be it mate as my baits were about 8 inch cocktails of rag black lug mussel peeler lol

                              thing is i had my best bite using soft back crab and i know people on here dont rate

                              what size hook and what rigs would you use for fishing hartley skeer mate
