• Best beach rigs??

Have been practicing my distance casting and am going to fish the beach on Saturday (might even give this ground baiting a try), was just wondering whats everyones preferance when it comes to beach rigs! i would probably use a clip down pulley or and up and over.

Secondly to get a longer hook snood on my pulley rig i was thinking of tying it like a standard pulley rig and incoperating a up and over type system! would this work or am i just making everything overly technical!
Happy to help, Keen to learn!

what you want mate is a clipped down pulley flapper pennell rig, with crimped off 18" snood lengths, leading to a gemini breakaway rotten bottem - nice and simple
Ooh a new vid!

It does work mate. One of the easiest ways to do it is put an upside down clipped down genie clip on the top of your pennel, one at the bottom and make the snood really long. You can then put your snood around the bottom, then the top and then clip back down at the bottom.
Put back what you don't need.

i tied one up last night mate! tied a normal pulley rig up with an extra lon hook snood, then put a double link where you attach the main line followed by a bait clip, so the hook snood comes down from the end of my pulley to the bottom bait clip then back up to the bait clip at the top

Try and get hold of last months (or before that) Sea Angler...there's an article about Ian Gold and his "innovative" uber long match rigs....basically using various pulley type set ups and assortd clips he's blasting out traces over 10ft long ...I think there's even a diagram
