No brainer this one peter have a look at gerry's power swivels mate,I use the 295lb versions, sml n as strong as u like, these swivels will never let u dwn, used them for10yrs + never ever had a prob, imo the only swivels worth using.
          Hope this helps.

I use number 4s for all my rigs.

IMO what's the point in paying for 295lb swivels when your rig body is 60-80lb
              All the gear, no idea.

Use tronix pulley beads meself and I've not had one explode in the heavy ground or giving it big licks chucking but hey ho.

Definitely not ott, after having lots of Gemini type swivels ie 80-100lb fail I wouldn't use anything else. Some swivels are downright dangerous and quality control seems to be getting worse these days. The 295 lb power swivels are still very small but more importantly have a heavy wire eye that doesn't cut into thick line. I personally don't like pulleys but you do have to use them on some marks and it means bumping the running trace line up to 100lb. 60-80 is really pushing the safety boundaries on a pulley rig and if fine wire swivels are used it makes matters much worse, there's also the risk of the trace failing from the see saw effect when the fish of a lifetime is hooked.

Fair point nooo fish, but there only cheap pal, they come in a wide range of sizes & r very sml for the strength, very very reliable tho buddy,if u've never tried them have a butchers.Sounds way over the top,but there so small n tidy, norm use the 100lb swivels, but I like the look of stronger ones, well worth a look.I use them 4 attaching my snood to rig body, like I say bulletproof, the smaller sizes r tiny but have incredible strength.Just me findings, sorry 4 jumping in.

Nowt to be sorry for mate. It's posts like yours what were all here for. I'm gonna have a look now that I've read the wire diameter is big. The plunder should lift easier because of it.
