  • Spiggot rebuild

    Alright lads.

Whats the score with having a spiggot rebuilt? Do you buy the spray yourself and apply in coats or is it best to get it done professionally? Also, who would i take it to to do it?
    Thanks

Best to get it done professionally but you can DIY, what kind of rod is it?

      spiggot

I would get it done professionally if your not sure, over do it, and you could unbalance them, and they may sieze or jam in colder tempratures when you least expect it.

My mate just had a new spigot fitted to his century tts. Only cost 15 quid. And the unit is in Washington.
        All the gear, no idea.

Rub candle wax on the male part of the spigot. It tightens it up nicely.
I tried this on mine when it started bottoming out and it worked brilliantly
And this was after a local tackle dealer told me sprays and wax were pointeless and would not work ! I guess he was trying to sell more rods instead
