    Never been - how easy are the gates to climb. Looks a bit hairy with the spikes out to both sides. Or do you just go over the middle. Am fishing by mesel so won't have a bunk up.

    Dead easy, just climb over the wall on the seaward side and walk down the rocks around the fence and up the other side - the fence is even quite handy to hang onto! The river side is a bit more awkward I think!…but I do know a few people who go around that way.

      I agree with Gary, I find the seaward side of the gates much easier and no possibility of losing your box (and yourself) in the water unlike the river side of the gate

        As said, it's a doddle to get round the seaward side, even for an unfit knacker like me.

          Not that bad at all. Either way but seaward way is safest.
