Which is the better reel?

Alright lads a quick query,having just bought a new bg20 I was wondering what your thoughts were on mentioned reel to a fathom 12/15? I had a fathom but cant see any quality difference for price paid. Am I missing something lol what do you prefer and why? ?? Big cheers in advance ;-);-):-D

id say fanthom to me more winching power better built faster there for more distance ive had a saltist and had nowt but bother or and cheaper

The specs are bout 95% the same only floating spool was different so I presumed the build quality to be far superior to the fathom wont be sure until tonight ;-);-):-D

I believe the retrieve on the saltist is a bit better also

I have both reels, silver Saltist 30H and Fathom 15, and the only difference is the line capacity as far as I can see.
Both reels are very well made and can winch about anything in. I love the floating spindle on the Fathom though as retrieve is very smooth.
It depends if you want to use heavier line as the Saltist would take more than the Fathom. I use 20 - 24lb on both no problem, but if you fish with heavier the Saltist would be best. You can't go wrong with either!!
