Hi , I was wondering if anyone can help/ advise me . Iv been given a Cono-flex Nemesis Zeloso which is rung for a fixed spool and in need of a rebuild and thought i'd have a go myself !! .Firstly the joint / spigot seems to have a lot of wear as the top and bottom sections butt up to each other and if if i give it a bit of a waggle ! I can feel a slight knock . Can i rebuild this with joint restorer or is there a another better way ? I was thinking of using minina 4 rings but i'm sure iv read somewhere that there tip ring isn't very good , so can anyone recommend an alternative ? and finally ! i'm bewildered as to what grade of whipping thread to use A B C D !? Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I cant believe you have not had a single reply giving advice, if you had asked for someone to build you the rod then you would have had the whole Entourage offering to build it.
I will send you a pm with answers to your question Iva.If people think you are an idiot, why speak and remove all doubt !

Its a funny old forum this at times. People wax lyrical about how helpful people are etc but its only when it suits. I put a post on yesterday about reducers, loads of views then one gent come on with some help, mick303 what a diamond.
I'll help where I can but in this instance I cant. Good luck with your rod building mate.Last edited by topbanana; 05-02-2014, 08:11 PM.Regards Nicky.

Com'mon Stan do you not realise you, as a rod builder, you are supposed to stay in the house permanently, not have a life, and sit a trawl NESA waiting for someone to ask for rod building advice. In future can you ensure you reply within 3 1/2 mins and I think its a disgrace the lad would have to bring his own biscuits. Have a good day!Cheers Mark
