I would just like to thank those that helped me to find a decent mark on the tynemouth beach as i dont come from this area
I started my session today at 1 pm (just before high tide). My first cast in resulted in a plaice of about 3/4 of a pound (a nice fish). 2nd cast resulted in a good bite which i somehow failed to connect with, then it went quiet until the tide started to turn. i started to get a few knocks as the tide turned but wasnt sure wether they was bites or weed as there was alot floating around.
my second fish came just as it was starting to get dark. a good bite resulted in a codling of about 1 1/2lb taken on lug topped with mussel. i got a few more bites after that fish but again failed to connect with anything. Not a bad fishing session.
the mark i fished was bottom of the stairs and the baits i used was black and blow lug ,mussel and squid. the rig i used was a two hook flapper rig with a size 3/0 aberdeen hook.
Once again thank you to those that put me onto this mark
thanks chris
