Cod007 you can dig Boulmer as long as you dig South of the rocks which are CLEARLY marked on the maps dotted around the village green. Your mate was probably escorted off there byhe police if he was digging outside of those areas and refused to move. I know this coz I have spoken to the police on many occasions over the Plums from South of the Tyne who insist on 'Their right to dig where they please'. It is also illegal to dig their for anything other than for your self so if you have a bucketful, they may believeyou're digging for profit and again escort you off.
Many of the fisherfolk have been threatened on numerous occasions to have their boats holed and with being impaled by forks.
There seem to be a lot of folk digging both tides virtually all week....I just hope none of them are claiming benmefits and then selling their worms on as it won't be the coppers they have to worry about.
So stick to the rules and you're fine but just remember there are only a finite amount of worms there and if every man and his dog descend and as I have noticed on a couple of occasions last year, witnessed them digging out large square area instead of trenches, then come January, there won't be many of a decent size left."And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"
