    Sand, odd patch of rock but very few. Big problem with the rocks down the side of the wall.

          hendon prom is a good place to fish in the winter. there is rocks in some placers but mustly sand and big bolders against the prom. i have had some nice fish off there.

            Allright Nelson,
            First three bays are a bit rocky with Kelp beds about 50 YARDS out,the rest of the prom is pretty much shifting sand,fishes best on a big ebb for codling,watch out for big tide rip on big tides use decent grippers.
