    Hi lads I've got a magged up rocket ad when I'm castin it's holdin back. I'm wantin to change the bearings to faster ones. What ones should I get

    is it brand new if it is , the bearings might only need cleaning , sound to me as if you could be putting the magnets on full .

      They have been cleaned ad I knock the mags off as its goin out

            Just a thought, but maybe a smaller magnet? I know they come in a variety of sizes & strengths.

              Unless the bearings are knackered or full of grease changing them wont make one jot to your casting distance. Ceramics/stainless all cast similar distance.

              If your wanting extra distance from your reel make sure its not over tightened on the spindle and spool is central. Then you need to play with your mag settings. 8-10 secs full on should control most powerful casts. Once away mags can be loosened. Mags off your reel should be running for 30 secs plus. Playing about with line level also has a massive impact on mag braking. An under filled reel will empty quicker resulting in faster spool rpm and more breaking. Its a case of playing about to find what works best for your reel. If your reel is still running slow check the spool isn't rubbing and if its still too slow remove or replace the mags for less powerful ones.
