          I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
          And we will fish together

been using big mouths for past to winters strong and sharp had.all my cod on them. use 2/0 all way up to biggest size. will bend out under good pressure.

i also use them on rough ground.
Species 2012 - Cod, Flounder, Dab, Plaice, Pollock, Eelpout, Common eel, Granny Fish, Whiting, Coalie, LSD, Rockling, Bass.

Big mouth are the same as mantas only cheaper. I use the extras. Being a g-point fan (discontinued) I'm not a fan of round bend Aberdeen style hooks for cod. But its all I can find for now.
                  Stay safe!
                  Enjoy your fishing!

varivas big mouths are different to mantas cos mantas snap under pressure varivas bend out.
                    have you got a cloth

ive used sal****er champions in size 2 - 3/0s and bigmouths in 5/0s for years.

you wont get a sharper hook.

I was talking about the shape, wire thickness, shank length, barb ect. In this respect they are basically the same.
And I only use the big mouth extras which take some bending out.
I don't like the angle of pull on the point.
I wish they did sal****er champs up to a 6/0.

Used to use the Big Mouths for south coast Hounding, excellent hooks which have landed me plenty of Smuts up to double figures (though my pb which came in at a smidge under 11lb was caught on a 1/0 Varivas semi-circle hook )

A but OT, but you have to love a sea fishing site that has nanny software which censors the word salt water. It's just as well S****horpe is not a noted sea fishing venue
