  • Bazooka strap/clamp

    Hi guys,

Anyone have any idea how to clamp a bazooka rod tube to a roof rack other than ratchet straps, cable ties or bungees? It has to be secure enough for travelling along the motorway but easy enough to remove at the other end? It'll be fully extended to 8ft.

I've looked on the tinterweb and a few have said to avoid ratchet straps as it damaged the casing.

    Cheers.

      Bazooka case

We just used extra long bungies that wrapped round case in a full loop to stop it slipping, before tying both ends down.Used three, both ends ,and one in middle through moulded handle on case all tied down to roof rack.Never hand any problems done this way many times.

I use these to hold my kayak on the roof rack. You can't really over tension them unless you pull like hell.

Tried to post a link and failed. They are called FRAKTA and from Ikea but you can get similar ones from a few places like LIDL or ALDI when they have them in stock.
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.
