It's amazing what you get for your money. I used to use a petzl zoom for mountain biking and it was considered the dogs danglies. Costs a fiver for a battery, lasts about 5 hrs and even with a halogen bulb "upgrade" you don't get a fraction of the light you get from even the cheapest Cree.

i know what u men , i still have the zoom. its heavy and pricey for batteries as u said . was surprised when i had the cree lamp out yesterday . mind u my main light the last two seasons was th 300lm cree for 3 quid delivered, but 2000lm jobbie makes fishing 'enlightening'
Just be careful if its got the jap charger plug my mate nearly burnt his house down with it lucky he was in the kitchen when it went up...... I have had 2 and both been pants 40quid for 2 and needed nuva so though I would spend a bit more and get the fenix hp 20 260 lumens its nearly as bright as the cree and the build quality is 100 percent better just remember to always carry a spare in ya bag because if they go they dnt come back I might of just got 2 duds but glad u seem 2 have got good ones .......just my ****ing luck
I have one of these with a battery pack, which is 3.7v I think. Does anyone know if you can use the higher voltage cree battery packs with the same headlight, or do you have to stick with the same voltage. Can't say I really understand about voltages etc!

all 18650 batteries are 3.7 v its the mah, milli amp hours that's higher which means the charge lasts longer.
