You can't blame people for being suspicious of apparent stealth taxes....
Given the current climate it's not surprising that recreational Anglers feel aggrieved to pay for something to fund fishery controls when the amount of fish they take from the sea is miniscule compared to the amount wasted by the commercial fleets.
Driving Licences fund the infrastructure, but exactly how much of the revenue from Sea Anglers would be pumped back into the system?
IMHO not enough..it would be absorbed and used elsewhereOoh a new vid!

I think the idea maybe good (who knows) but there are some good points I have seen. Improve fishing spots, fish stocks, hopefully get rid of the few that bring bad names to the sport. This is just a few. Will it improve over short term, I doubt it will it improve long term, well I hope.
And don't get me starter with litter left on piers etc

"good people will pay it, the ones that cause the problems wont"
once again the honest hard working person and not hitting the wrong type of person once again.
I know a few people at work that had a crash with a none tax or insu...they walk off worse and the cost of the fine is less than 2 years insurance for me.
Anyway i dont care...if we get one i will pay it because its life and i love the sport.
Cant see it making any diffrence to my fishing spots one bit. Still get the same people on if they have one or not and cant see much being put back into the sport.................__................................ .............................

Well of course I'll pay mine as well mate ,however I'll want to see things being done for the money I paid, I've never needed a rod licence before so what do you freshwater lads think of it ,is it worthwhile ? should it be scrapped or even increased if it's a good idea. You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

we will have to pay simple. I spend too much cash on my gear not to. With people like Yates and matchman behind it, It will come into force. Will it stop the day light papers and line left behind prolly not. Even chavs may buy one then Wallsendo may even be happy. When All Else Fails Try D.i.L.L.i.G.a.F.
