  • is it to late

Hi all is it too late in the season to get berrys in the hen crabs av just got a hold of 6 females cracked them open and theres none in them still scooped all the stuff out except the lungs so a hope it still works thanks Peter

the berry's as far as i'm aware are on the outside. the female carries the eggs in its pouch.

if we pick up a crab carrying eggs weve always said its.. berry'd.

unless some other part is also called the berrys

seasons seem to be getting mixed up, i've had plenty berried crab and lobster in the winter, used to be quite rare one time though.

I wouldnt say its "no good" without the coral! Im pretty sure the brown meat on its own will still catch fish

Agree with above, will still catch fish. Has it been allowed north of the Tyne yet? Think a meeting was happening soon or has just been. Was told in a local tackle shop.

It will catch fish I have done it with the brown myself uptiding .... however my best catches have come with the red coral I try to separate the red from brown and use the red when I am fishing matches or when conditions are perfect.
