Just a quick thank you to the person who gutted their fish and left the mess outside the brigade hut gates, we received an emergency call last night and before we could get the vehicle out we had to clear up that mess, wasting valuable time.

Saw that on the MCA press site on Twitter....Sad outcome!

these mindless so called fishermen are just a total waist of space. leaving a mess it only takes a few minutes to clean a fish and put the guts into the water for the crabs. why should other people have to clean there mess away just not on.
this is the sort of problem that's gets fishing a bad name even the problem of litter left on the piers why cant they clean there mess away.

out of order and no need for it

(the 'maki-bashers' get the blame for all the mess in the summer, but ive seen more mess from the 'coddy-bashers' through the winter)

Aye, because it is never the older anglers who leave bits of old line, discarded hooks, empty bait wrappers and other general rubbish lying around on the piers and beaches is it? It's never older anglers who leave the Walkway or the Glasscentre looking like a sh1t tip.

Youngun or older experienced angler it makes no odds, whoever did this is a lazy moron. But singling out youger anglers with no evidence whatsoever is bang out of order and an insult to any of the young anglers who use this site, some of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting and who have been without fail polite, helpful and conscientious anglers

I did state Imo just using what I have seen young anglers do on any pier and yes there is some adult fishermen who could do with being re educated on the slogan keep britain tidy .with the people I fish with or used to fish with newspaper and guts were hoyed in the sea ! Any youngun on here who feels insulted I do apologise as that is not my intention, I myself get in amongst the minority who want to go on the pier to fish and not play chicken on the steps or throw bait and sandwiches at each other! I also dont think calling guilty party morons is very productive... as you state,Im insulting giving an opinion with no verbal abuse while if it was found without question,to be younguns leaving said mess have you not yourself just called the very generation your trying to defend???? I have only gave my view from my own meandering experience! !!!

Completely agree Stewart, I have been on charter boats when older and obviously experienced angler dump all their crap overboard. With so much mess at shore marks it can't just be younger or inexperienced anglers that cause it all. Far too easy to blame them, much harder to admit mess is made by "proper" anglers.

Really?? so there's no way it could have been an older, experienced angler??

At what age, and at what level of experience does someone become incapable of being a cu next tuesday?

agree with stewart there are some good young people in the sport its not fair to blame them or point the finger unless you have proof.
I have seen older fishermen leaving there litter / beer cans ect on shields pier and roker pier, when you say any thing too them you are told f... off old man.
yes I am a old man but I don't leave rubbish around for some one else to remove.
I have respect for the venue I fish like most other people I know and go fishing with

Read my big second post m8 the people/person who left the said mess might not of even realized, blind ignorance is not helpful. I must of been lucky to have fished with thoughtful lads . You should smell me wheelie bin sometimes ,it smells like the fish Quay with old bluey packets and the like lol

Have read your other post as well, but I still don't understand your logic.

What I'm saying is the oldest most experienced angler in the world could still be a lazy arrogant 'person'. (I don't imagine many younguns use fresh mussel, crab, or razorfish as bait, but there's nearly always piles of shells and crab legs on floor at the 44 mark, so who left them?)

You shouldnt say ''it has to be younguns'' just because youve seen young people drop rubbish before.

I once saw a red haired person with a sunderland top on, drop litter on the beach, so I suppose i could say 'it must have been a ginger makem'!

My bin don't smell too good either.
