I got a proper potato fork - wide with flat prongs - off e-bay a couple of years back for £20 (inc postage) It has proven to be excellent for bait digging.So long and thanks for all the fish! (www.lsbsac.co.uk)

mine snapped after half a dozen times sessions digging ,bottom part exellent ,just shaft isnt strong enough for a digger that is out most the timePanel Pin Champ

GREENS COUNTRY SHOP at Morpeth usualy has flat tined forks for around £20.00 I bought one a couple of years ago, and it certainly does the job.However they aren't the strongest of hafts (wooden), but if you take it canny the are excellent for digging lugworm.
By the way the shop is more or less opposite Morpeth railway station. Hope this is of some help.

greggthe1, I popped into Greens next to the railway station at Morpeth and they have 3 forks in stock at £20.50 each. They aren't on display in the shop as they are kept in the warehouse so if you go there you will have to tell the guy what you are after.
See my earlier post re shafts and handles, all the guys I fish with have this type of fork. We actually shorten the tines and grind new points on, excellant for digging.
